Don't be fooled by not realising the power of positivity. It's not a Tony Robbins owned term, but a way to live life and achieve long lasting happiness. According to Google, the definition for positivity is:

After being one of hundreds at a Jewish wedding yesterday, I couldn't help but think about life and the meaning of what I am doing now and in the future.

For 44 years, life has been remarkably smooth sailing. I have experienced a lot, none of which I would change, and I have accomplished more than I dreamed of doing. The experiences not only make you stronger, more resilient and grateful, they shape who you are and continue to become.

Ever wondered why some workplaces are 'happier' than others? Why some people beem when they leave the office, glowing from the after-affects of a productive day? This phenonemon is more about how you grow your team, and what type of people you employ.

It's raining outside and our whole Melbourne team is meant to be playing tennis as a team bonding session.

A few of us are not so sure, mainly because we are women and we have things to go to after work which require our hair to be "beautiful". Rain is not conducive of that.

Randomly, I pick up two tennis rackets from my office and a whole heap of balls and then grab Lisa O'Keeffe, and we start playing tennis in the middle of the office. Firstly, you have to have an office big enough - which we have, and secondly, you have to be prepared for anything to happen. Broken computer screens, lights, dints in walls, people being hit - in general chaos. But what is the worse that can happen? Someone gets hurt? How hurt would you become from a tennis ball? I pinch of pain never hurt anyone, or at least that is what we all agreed.

From failure, we learn how to be successful. From falling, we remember how to pick ourselves up and keep on walking.

In life, we are a bunch of complex creatures, and whether we admit it to ourselves or not, we have many ups and downs on our road to our next destination and beyond.

I've had a pretty amazing life. I know that I have been privileged in so many ways; phenomenal family, great loyal long term friends, new friends and great loves. In many ways, I was prized with a place on the podium.

Give me all the money in the world and I would return it, stupidly some may say, for a life filled with fitness, health and happiness.

My theory being that if you hold those three of life’s gifts close to your heart, the money will follow.

No dream not fulfilled...

What is one person’s tradition may not be another’s.

It’s the 24th December 2014, and like many families around the world, we are gathered in one place to celebrate Christmas.

While I don’t necessarily think that Christmas is a good excuse to get together with family, preferring to take the one of day of the year off the calendar and instead spending that time giving to others and serving those less fortunate – I am grateful.

My life is blessed in so many ways and enriched by those around me. I am grounded by family and friends, and always aware that there are people around me that will be there no matter what.
