2019 trends that will make waves in Marketing
Trends tend to come and go throughout the years, but one thing is for sure they all have a large impact and influence on the entirety of the marketing world. The introduction of new marketing tools and resources has led to a heightened level of customers’ expectations and overall brand experience.
Leaving businesses to constantly search for ways to differentiate themselves from their competitors and stay on top of the latest trends and movements. 2019 will be another year of growth, innovation, and creativity from individuals and businesses, and we cannot wait to see what’s to come.
Below, are our Marketing Eye trend predictions for 2019.
Artificial intelligence to increase its level of personalisation
We are all eagerly watching the evolution of AI and its constant impact and influence on the marketing industry. The ability of AI to connect on an emotional and personal level is set to grow and diversify within the year. AI will move away from the stereotypical idea of being a ‘robot' and will continue to integrate itself into businesses and brands, incorporating a sense of personalisation and human emotion that has not been seen as of yet.
Growth in content marketing
Producing content that is relevant, informative and personal to your audience base will become crucial for the further success of businesses within 2019. Developing content that enhances one’s digital brands presence and integrating influencers into the mix, will become the perfect combo.
Integrated Online, Social and Mobile marketing
Many businesses have currently dabbled their toes in one or all three of these marketing strategies. Now is the perfect time to jump right in, head first and into a fully integrated marketing program that sees collaboration in all three marketing fields. This comes at a period in time where we currently have a significantly high consumption and utilisation of digital resources and devices, making it easier for businesses to target audiences and potential consumers.
The rise of micro Influencers
Over the past couple of years, we have witnessed the great boom of the Influencer. Businesses have noticed the great potential and impact these influencers could have on their prospective brand perception. Influencers have grown to be somewhat of a celebrity in the eyes of society and now come at a large expense, companies are now targeting those considered to be ‘micro influencers’ with smaller, intimate and targeted followers. This is expected to grow tenfold within the coming year.
Quality finally trumps Quantity
It’s hard to believe, but it is very much possible to over exaggerate and utilise content marketing. Consumers have discovered what they want, and that is, they want less clutter and rather more meaningful and informative content that isn’t bombarding and flooding their newsfeeds. The flip to high quality comes after a year where businesses pushed high levels of content in order to gain further attention and engagement by their audience.
Keep your eye peeled, because there are bound to be an abundance of marketing trends that will knock our socks off and create a dent in the marketing world.
